This includes advocating for greater investment in community-based supports and strengthening the capacity and dispatch of mobile crisis response teams so individuals receive appropriate, timely care while police resources remain focused on urgent public safety concerns.
Supportive Housing & Stability
Safe, stable housing is one of the most important foundations of health and wellbeing. We will advance housing solutions that connect individuals with the services they need, including mental health care, addiction support, and other community resources. By supporting housing with wraparound services, we can help people achieve greater stability while strengthening neighbourhood wellbeing.
Arts, Culture & Community Connection
Arts and culture play an important role in bringing people together, strengthening community identity, and supporting a vibrant local economy.
We will help create opportunities that celebrate local creativity, strengthen community connections, and ensure Ward 4 continues to be a welcoming hub for arts, culture, and innovation.
Recovery & Mental Health Support
Mental health and addiction challenges affect individuals, families, and communities. A compassionate and coordinated approach can help connect people with the support they need.
We will advocate for evidence-informed approaches to mental health and addiction recovery, including access to treatment, recovery-focused services, and community-based supports that help individuals build stability and improve long-term outcomes.
